At Market U we don't advertise all roles because we actively use our database and networks to source candidates. In some cases we are also requested by our clients not to advertise roles and to keep the detail confidential, other than when discussing the role with a potential candidate that has been specifically approached by us for the role.

In January 2008, Market U merged with WDScott Limited, a leading global management consulting firm based in Australia.

Our Team

Market U is made up of a committed team of professionals with experience in both local and international markets, whose extensive industry experience and recruitment expertise ensures a strategic and personalised service.

David Grant

David is the Chief Executive Office of Market U.

David Grant brings over 20 years experience to Market U across executive search and in a variety of in-house marketing roles. Prior to entering the recruitment industry in 2001, David held senior Marketing and Business Development roles within the Australasian Retail Banking sector. In a 10 year career with ANZ Bank, David held roles such as Marketing Manager Commercial Cards, National Manager Cards New Zealand and Account Manager Payment Services. His role in Payment Services gave him exposure to all areas of banking, including (but not limited to), Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Business Banking, International and Correspondent Banking, Treasury, Operations and IT.

In his recruitment career, David has always focused on the Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications professions, managing retained and contingent assignments from mid-management to Head of/Director level for clients nationally.

Prior to joining Market U, David has held Practice Manager, General Manager and Managing Director roles with other reputable Australian recruitment consultancies. As an ex-practitioner, David offers clients a strong understanding of the roles that he recruits.

David Pope

David is a Senior Consultant based in our Melbourne office.

David has over 10 years' experience in the recruitment industry, where his primary emphasis has been to deliver across the disciplines of marketing, communication, corporate affairs HR at the senior level, along with other specialised appointments. This experience has been acquired in both ASX listed recruitment entities and privately owned boutique search businesses. Throughout this period, David has serviced a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, including financial services, government, FMCG and other high-profile industry sectors. Within his recruitment career, David has successfully undertaken senior search assignments for major clients on a national basis working in most capital cities in Australia from a Melbourne base.

David has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing); Post Graduate Diploma Commerce (HR & IR) and Diploma of Hotel Management.

Patricia Lière

Patricia is a Principal Consultant based in our Sydney office.

Patricia brings a wealth of marketing and communications experience to Market U, from senior roles she has held while living and working in the UK, France, the Americas and Australia.

Patricia has operated as a Principal Consultant with Market U for the past two years, effectively managing senior corporate affairs and communications assignments. Her focus on client and candidate care are key attributes of Patricia's service delivery and she has established an enviable track record in sourcing high calibre talent who add value to Market U's clients for the longer term.

Patricia holds tertiary qualifications in Management, a Degree in Modern Language from the Sorbonne, Paris and an MBA focusing on Strategic Marketing and Change Management.

Jillian Henderson

Jillian is a Principal Consultant based in our Melbourne office.

With seven years' recruitment experience in both Ireland and Australia working for firms such as Reed Consulting Group (UK), Hudson Global Resources, Qudos Recruitment and now Market U, Jillian is responsible for overseeing our clients' contract management needs across both our Melbourne and Sydney offices. Her firm belief in taking a strategic approach and maintaining a high standard of client and candidate service attracted Jillian to the Market U team. She prides herself on her ability to really listen to and understand, her client's and candidate's wishes, and translate them into long-term positive solutions. Jillian holds a number of industry-specific qualifications including a Certificate in Professional Recruitment Services.

Rod Szigeter

Rod is a Consultant based in our Melbourne office.

Rod has over 20 years client-side experience in sales, marketing and product roles for a range of blue-chip multi-nationals in the financial services and energy sectors.

Rod has held senior roles across all client segments including consumer (retail and wealth) and B2B. In financial services, these have included Head of Marketing and Head of Investment Products positions in Private Banking in Australia and Asia, managing an online business unit for retail customers, as well as numerous marketing management and strategy roles in the B2B segment. With ExxonMobil he held roles in areas as diverse as LPG and fuels marketing, retail operations, fuel card sales and aviation fuel sales with full profit centre responsibility.

Rod has an excellent understanding of the issues which impact the corporate marketing function and looks forward to working with clients and candidates to provide a solution that best fits the needs of both parties.

Rod has a Bachelor of Economics and Certificate in Public Relations.

Dyana Ronsisvalle

Dyana is a Consultant based in our Melbourne office.

Dy brings with her five years experience in recruitment gained across both Sydney and Melbourne markets. She has worked for firms such as Hudson Global Resources, Hays Personnel and Carmichael Fisher recruiting across the marketing and communications, finance and accounting and business support disciplines. Dy has a strong work history that focuses on building long term working relationships with clients and candidates through high levels of service; she has become firmly established in this area.

Dyana has a Diploma of Business in Frontline Management and a Diploma of Health Sciences.

Kristin Bell

Kristin is an Operations Manager based in our Melbourne office.

Kristin brings four years of Management experience and over 10 years of administration experience to Market U working for a variety of organisations around the world including the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games organising committee. Leading the Operational function at Market U, Kristin's key focus is to make sure the business runs smoothly and processes are in place to ensure efficiency and a highly valuable candidate experience.

Kristin has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement; Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation and Certificate in Events Management.

Callum Silcock

Callum is a Candidate and Consultant Coordinator based in our Melbourne office.

Previously based in Sydney, Callum has had an extensive career working within Construction and Engineering recruitment and has held roles such as Administrator, Resourcer, Consultant and Research Manager, within both top tier and boutique recruitment firms. Relocating to Melbourne in 2009, Callum joined Market U making the transition into the marketing and corporate affairs disciplines. With over 8 years of experience in the recruitment industry, Callum provides valuable support to the Market U team with candidate / consultant coordination, database management, administration and IT.

Helen Kehagias

Helen is an Executive Assistant based in our Sydney office.

Helen has over 10 years experience as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager in a variety of industries including, direct marketing, telecommunications and information technology. In addition to her administrative experience, Helen has had exposure to coordinating in-house recruitment processes, producing documentation for internal policy / processes and assisting with tender submissions. Helen ensures the smooth running of our Sydney office as well as offering support to our CEO and consultants.

Helen has an Advanced Diploma in Asia Pacific Marketing.

Shiela De La Cruz

Shiela is an Accounts Coordinator based in our Melbourne Office.

Shiela has over 7 years experience working in the Accounting sector. She has previously worked for MYOB Australia as a Technical Support Representative. After leaving there in 2001 she worked for Lloyd Morgan, a recruitment firm, for 3 and half years as the Accounts Bookkeeper. This role gave her an insight into the recruitment world including payroll for Contractors which grew from 30 to 100 nationwide. She then moved to KRA Financial Group as the Accounts Manager for 4 years. Shiela is focused on managing the efficient process and procedures within the Accounting function of Market U.

Shiela has a Bachelor Degree in Business (Accounting).
